Naples, FL and Oklahoma City, OK — a la mode, the nation's leading provider of real estate appraisal technology, announced substantial relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

"Not only do we have thousands of customers in the areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey," said Dave Biggers, a la mode’s founder, "but given our Oklahoma City roots and our large operations center there, these are also our neighbors, our colleagues, and our friends."

"They need help, right now," Biggers continued, "and that’s where I’ve directed our attention.  We’re giving $100,000 immediately to the local Greater Houston Community Foundation's Hurricane Harvey Relief fund, and we’re pushing emails and dedicated landing pages out to our clients to enable them to match it retroactively.  We don’t want to wait until a matching campaign can be completed.  We have faith in our clients and competitors that they’ll follow suit."

To match a la mode’s contribution in a way that shows the real estate industry’s commitment to its communities in need, the company is asking clients to donate to the Greater Houston Community Foundation's Hurricane Harvey Relief fund through a la mode's pass-through website at https://www.alamode.com/harvey.

Dustin Moore, a la mode's COO, noted that in addition to the cash donations, a la mode is waiving all annual fees in the affected area.  It’s also reaching out to customers in the storm's path, helping with everything from food and clothing to replacing their business equipment and office supplies.  "Impacted customers, or those knowing of someone who needs help, should contact us by any and all means and let us know what they need," emphasized Moore.  (Contact methods are listed below.)

a la mode employees are also loading and delivering at least one truck full of donations and supplies.  Citizens and businesses in the Oklahoma City metro area are encouraged to join in by bringing baby necessities, toiletries, non-perishable food items, water, and other relief goods to a la mode’s Oklahoma City Operations Center, at 3705 West Memorial Road, Building 402.  Donations must be dropped off by Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 12 p.m. to make it on the first truck.

"We take a great deal of pride in helping our customers and local real estate markets recover from disasters like this.  We've been able to contribute large sums to relief efforts for deadly events in the past, including Katrina, Sandy, and the massive tornadoes in Oklahoma, and we’re very thankful that we could," Moore continued.  "We know the vital role our customers play in recovering from these catastrophes and we're happy to help them.  I hope other real estate professionals and real estate technology vendors across the nation will join us in our effort."
